Matsumoto Castle, National Treasure of Japan
Starting from Fukashi Castle which was built during the Eisho period of the Warring States period, Matsumoto Castle has become a National Treasure as the oldest extant five structure/six story castle in Japan. (Built between 1593-1594) Its contrasting black and white, against the shining Japanese Alps makes for splendid scenery.MATSUMOTO CITY MUSEUM OF ART
The museum exhibits the works of artists who are closely associated with the city of Matsumoto, including Yayoi Kusama, Shinzan Kamijo and Kazuo Tamura. It also holds various exhibitions throughout the year.Get Direction
