Kijo Park
It acts as a symbol of Tsuchiura and was developed from part of the former Tsuchiura Castle established in the Muromachi Period.The castle was referred to as "Kijo (or "Turtle Castle") because of the way it was surrounded by walls, which resembled a turtle floating in water.The Yagura Gate is the only existing gate at Honmaru in the Kanto region, and is an important historical heritage conveying the features of the castle in the former times.Kasumigaura Comprehensive Park

A pioneer of Japanese wineries established in the Meiji Period.Currently it is open to the public as a memorial hall offering visitors an opportunity to learn about the history of wine making in the Meiji Period.
